Are you essential???

Wikipedia lists and essential oil is a concentrated, hydrophobic liquid containing volatile aroma compounds from plants. Essential oils are also known as volatile, ethereal oils or aetherolea, or simply as the “oil of” the plant from which they were extracted, such as oil of clove. An oil is “essential” in the sense that it carries a distinctive scent, or essence, of the plant.

Various essential oils have been used medicinally and medical application proposed by those who sell medicinal oils range from skin treatments to remedies for cancer, and are often based on historical use of these oils for these purposes. You may have noticed that as all things greener and healthier a large interest in essential oils has revived in recent decades. So who do you go to when you want to learn about essential oils. A great company like doTERRA is a good place to start.

doTERRA has been slowly seeping into my life for a little over a year. I first heard about them over a year ago when I went to a small little “green health” expo in Salt Lake City with my mom. Then, a friend, who was searching for some relief to some long term health issues came upon doTERRA and my interest was renewed. So, as my dear friend says on her blog, “After I started massage therapy, I began looking into different methods of healing. Having neglected myself for far too long other than the every few months starving myself diet, I wanted to find out what modern medicine hadn’t been able to do for me.” Haven’t we all felt that way at some time or other in our lives?

Well – get a little sanity and visit with All The Sanity, the blog, and if you’re interested there is a September Wellness Giveaway for a starter essential oil kit from doTERRA. It may just be the thing you are looking for to heal your body where modern medicine has been lacking.
