Healthy Ketchup (raw)

I found this recently – and just had to pass it along. It’s just so tasty. This is an amazing healthy raw ketchup recipe that is going to become a family favorite.

Studies involving the tomato have cropped up all over the world. Tomatoes are rich in lycopene and antioxidants. This ketchup makes for a healthy addition to your GreenFed burgers or hot dogs.

Ingredients:
> 1 cup organic tomato, chopped
> 1 cup organic sun-dried tomatoes, soaked for 30 minutes, drained, and chopped
> 1 Tablespoon fresh organic garlic, minced
> 10 fresh organic basil leaves
> 3 organic dates, pitted
> 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
> 1 teaspoon Celtic sea salt
> 1- 2 Tablespoons Bragg’s raw, unfiltered apple cider vinegar

Directions:
Blend all ingredients together until it forms a paste.
Makes about 2 1/2 cups

I use this on my veggie burgers, but my husband still eats meat. Again, we are a mixed-fed couple. But I won’t let him eat anything that is not the best quality – because of the hormones, the way the animals are treated. It’s just not right. Beyond Organic cattle are not grassfed-they’re greenfed!

GreenFed™ is a more technically correct term. In fact, Beyond Organic cattle eat only what comes out of the ground, including grasses, legumes, forbs and herbs, which are known collectively as forage.

Beyond Organic cattle do not eat grains. Additionally, Beyond Organic cattle are fed sustainably, which is good for them, for you and for the environment.
